Graguree Penrith

Graguree means Gully in the Gundungurra language. This design is for an invited competition on a prominent site in Penrith. The 40-storey building contains 440 units. It also has a retail podium with a town square, restaurants, supermarket, commercial and food market. The building cradles the plaza as well as a heritage school house. The gully is proposed consisting of a drainage creek, forest, tree-tops walkway and contemplation space as a means of reinscribing the natural landscape within the Penrith CBD.
